Saya Percussion has been present in school environments for over 8 years. We have developed a vast expertise that has allowed us to give more than 3000 percussion workshops in several schools, daycares, early childhood centers, day camps and festivals all over Quebec. Whether you need monthly or occasional activities such as; a pedagogical day, back to school, or other, Saya Percussion offers percussion workshops for educational purposes that are 100% participatory. It promotes musical awakening, team spirit, self-esteem, body coordination, concentration, memory, and positively contribute to academic success.

A one-of-a-kind mixed dance percussion workshop that allows young people to discover instruments from South and Central America. 100% Latin American music. The workshop includes a demonstration of South American folklore instruments performed by the facilitator followed by the participation of children who will play a wide variety of percussion instruments; Cajon (Drum Box, main instrument), Maracas, Bells, Castanets, Guiro and Claves. Each participant has his own instrument for all the different kinds of instruments used during the workshop. We have enough instruments for each participant. Capacity: Up to 75 participants at a time per workshop.

Our most popular workshop, a mixed percussion workshop with dance. Popular and festive music or 100% African, according to your choice. The workshop is 100% participatory, students will play a wide variety of percussion instruments; Djembe (main instrument), Caxixi, Tambourines, Cocos, Castanets, Guiro and Claves. Each participant has his own instrument for all types of instruments used during the workshop. We have enough instruments for each participant up to 125 people at a time.

Participants learn that it is possible to create music from the recovery and reuse of products. The workshop includes a demonstration of our "Recycled Drum", interpreted by the facilitator, followed by the participation of students who will have at their disposal a wide variety of recycled instruments.
